Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the ICF Bot and the Israeli Combined Forces Discord server. By joining the server or interacting with the bot, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About the ICF Bot

The ICF Bot is a custom Discord bot built and maintained by the Israeli Combined Forces (ICF) clan leadership. It provides community management, moderation, social media notifications, emergency alerts, voice features, and recruitment tooling exclusively for the ICF Discord server.

The bot is not a commercial product and is not affiliated with Discord Inc., Bohemia Interactive, or any other third party.

2. Eligibility and Acceptance

By being a member of the ICF Discord server or interacting with the ICF Bot in any way, you confirm that:

1. You meet Discord's minimum age requirement (13 years old, or higher in your country).
2. You have read and understood these Terms of Use.
3. You agree to comply with all rules stated herein.
4. You agree to comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must leave the server.

3. Permitted Uses

You may use the ICF Bot for the following purposes:

• Community participation: Engaging in server discussions, events, and activities related to the ICF clan and Arma 3 simulation.
• Self-service features: Registering your birthday (/birthday set), selecting roles via the role menus, and opening support tickets.
• Clan recruitment: Applying to join the ICF clan through the official recruitment flow.
• Receiving notifications: Benefiting from social media updates, YouTube/TikTok/Instagram/Facebook post alerts, and Pikud Ha'oref emergency alerts.
• Radio listening: Listening to the automated Galgalatz radio stream in the designated voice channel.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You must not use the server or the ICF Bot to:

1. Spam or flood channels, ticket systems, or bot commands.
2. Abuse the ticket system by opening tickets for no legitimate purpose, repeatedly closing and reopening tickets, or misusing staff time.
3. Attempt to exploit or manipulate the bot, including sending crafted inputs to break commands, attempting to artificially inflate message counts or invite counts, or attempting to access data belonging to other users.
4. Impersonate ICF staff, clan leadership, or other members.
5. Share false information in recruitment channels or tickets.
6. Harass, threaten, or abuse other members through any bot-facilitated channel (tickets, recruitment channels, etc.).
7. Attempt to access bot configuration, tokens, API keys, or the database through any means.
8. Circumvent moderation actions, including ban evasion via alternate accounts.
9. Use bot features to violate Discord's Terms of Service or any applicable law.
10. Post, share, or link to any content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful in any bot-managed channel.

5. Moderation and Enforcement

The ICF Bot provides staff with moderation tools. By being a server member, you acknowledge and accept that:

Staff may take the following actions against your account at their discretion:

5.2 Moderation Logs

All moderation actions are logged in private staff channels. Warning counts, message counts, invite counts, and timeout status are accessible to moderators via the /lookup command.

5.3 Appeal Process

If you believe a moderation action was taken unfairly, you may appeal by:

1. Contacting a senior staff member via Discord DM.
2. Opening an appeal ticket if you still have access to the server.

Appeals are reviewed at the discretion of ICF leadership. Decisions made by the server owner are final.

6. Ticket System

By opening a support ticket you acknowledge:

• A private channel is created visible only to you and relevant staff roles.
• Staff may add additional users to your ticket at their discretion.
• When the ticket is closed, a full transcript of all messages in the ticket channel (including your messages, usernames, and timestamps) is automatically saved in a private staff log channel.
• Transcripts are retained indefinitely unless manually deleted by an administrator.
• Do not share sensitive personal information (real name, home address, phone number, government ID, financial data) inside tickets. We are not responsible for any personal data you voluntarily share.

Ticket transcripts may be reviewed by ICF leadership for quality assurance, dispute resolution, or moderation purposes.

7. Birthday Feature

The /birthday command is entirely voluntary. By using /birthday set you:

• Consent to the storage of your Discord User ID and the birthday date (day, month, year) you provide in the ICF Bot's database.
• Consent to the bot posting a public birthday announcement in the designated birthdays channel on your birthday.
• Consent to the bot temporarily updating your server nickname to include your age on your birthday (e.g., Username 25). This requires the bot to have the Manage Nicknames permission over your account.

You may withdraw this consent at any time by using /birthday remove, which immediately deletes your birthday record from the database.

8. Voice Channels and Radio

By joining a voice channel on the server, you acknowledge:

• The ICF Bot may be present in voice channels to stream the Galgalatz radio broadcast.
• Custom intro audio clips may play when specific clan members (as configured by administrators) enter voice channels. These clips are short, pre-approved audio files.
• The bot does not record, listen to, or store any audio from voice channels.

9. Emergency Alert System (Pikud Ha'oref)

The ICF Bot provides real-time civil defence alerts sourced from publicly available Israeli Home Front Command (Pikud Ha'oref) data. By receiving these alerts, you acknowledge:

• This is not an official emergency service. ICF Bot alerts are supplementary information only and may be delayed, inaccurate, or incomplete.
• In a real emergency, always rely on official government channels, the Pikud Ha'oref app, and public broadcasts as your primary source of information.
• The bot footer on every alert reads: "This bot is not an official Pikud Ha'oref alert system. Always refer to the official app or website."
• The ICF clan assumes no liability for any decisions made based on bot-delivered alerts.

10. Social Media Notifications

The bot monitors the ICF clan's own public social media accounts (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook) and posts notifications in the server. By using the server, you understand:

• Notification pings may be sent to designated roles when new content is published.
• Content linked in notifications is hosted on third-party platforms and subject to those platforms' own terms.
• The ICF clan is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of linked third-party pages.

11. Recruitment

If you were referred to the ICF Discord server through the ICF clan website's recruitment system, you acknowledge:

• A private recruitment channel will be automatically created for you upon joining the server.
• Your Discord username and the channel ID will be sent to the ICF website to coordinate your intake process.
• Clan interviewers and recruitment leads will have access to this channel.
• The channel will be closed and its contents logged when the recruitment process concludes.

Providing false information during the recruitment process may result in an immediate ban.

12. Intellectual Property

The ICF Bot's source code, assets (including custom audio files and welcome background image), and branding (including the ICF logo) are the property of the Israeli Combined Forces clan and its developers. You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute the ICF Bot's code or assets without explicit permission.
• Use the ICF clan logo, name, or branding outside of the official server without permission.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The ICF Bot is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

• That the bot will be available at all times without interruption.
• That all features will function correctly at all times.
• That social media notifications will be delivered immediately or without gaps.
• That Pikud Ha'oref alerts will be timely or complete.

The bot may be taken offline for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen technical issues at any time without prior notice.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the ICF clan, its leadership, developers, and staff shall not be liable for:

• Any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the ICF Bot.
• Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in bot-delivered content, including emergency alerts.
• Any data loss resulting from a server crash, database corruption, or other technical failure.
• Any decisions made by you or others based on information provided by the bot.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. When changes are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document will be revised. Material changes will be announced in the ICF Discord server. Your continued membership in the server after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

16. Termination

We reserve the right to remove any user from the ICF Discord server, and by extension revoke their access to the ICF Bot, at any time for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms of Use. Data associated with removed users may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

17. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Israel.
